Emergency phones and single button diallers

Emergency phones and single button diallers are used in non-supervised service locations or where people queue for services.

ECT Connect have two models that are particularly popular. The single button dialler (model EM-2P) and the emergency phone model EM-86HP.

The EM-86HP is capable of calling multiple phone numbers in case of an emergency. One application for this phone is where a reception area is not attended after hours. If a person goes to that area and requires immediate assistance they can pick up the phone and it will automatically dial a pre-designated phone number. Once contacted the receiver of the call can dispatch the appropriate person to respond. This phone is also very popular with other unsupervised environments including 24 hour gyms.

The EM-2P single button dialler has an external speaker and a microphone with a metal plate covering the electronics. This dialling unit can be installed in a lift to allow a person trapped to make a call to emergency services or the lift monitoring company.

Another application for this phone is at shopping centre taxi ranks. When no cabs are waiting passengers can use the single button dialler to make a free call to speak to an operator to dispatch a taxi.

Alternatively, these phones can be programmed to dial any phone number including emergency services. The dialler is usually connected to a standard phone line but GSM phone network units are also available.
